A properly installed and maintained septic system keeps our water safe and healthy. The Township of Wollaston began a septic re-inspection program in 2010. The goal of the program is to have all existing septic systems in the municipality visually inspected every five years. The inspection will look for such things as trees or unusual grass growth on or around the system, wet areas, materials on the septic bed and erosion. You do not have to be at the location at the time of inspection, and property owners will be sent a copy of the results once the inspection has been completed.
